What a year it's been!

Sing Us A Song Music Therapy & Well-Being has had another great year in 2018 and we are gearing up for an expanded offering of new programs in 2019 for existing and new facilities. I would like to thank all the facilities, lifestyle coordinators, RAO's and care staff we have worked with in implementing group therapy, choir programs, dementia reminiscence music programs right through to providing concerts and interactive entertainment. You have played a big part in providing hours of happy moments for residents and keeping their minds and bodies active and healthy each week.

We pride ourselves on being a residents first company and this means working with facilities on a personal basis to get the most out of each session for their resident specific needs. Working in Dementia-specific care music therapy is a great passion of ours and we look forward to continuing work within these areas as well as general care interactive music-based programs.

SOME HIGHLIGHTS OF 2018:

- Regis Hornsby's "Rockin' Rebels" choir christmas concert on the 20th of December was the culmination of  twice weekly choir sessions and a great way to share music with friends and family.

- Bupa St Ives weekly program for dementia care residents in the waterhouse area of the facility has seen a great physical and mental response from residents who have not only developed their skills with rhythm games and music but also had a fun time while interacting and become more social and alert in the process. 

- Thompson Avalon House was the newest facility to join our busy roster in 2018 and we enjoyed developing an interactive piano based music concert for the residents to play instruments and sing along too.

FREE TRIALS FOR NEW FACILITIES IN 2019 "MUSIC THERAPY PROGRAMS"

We are currently running a program for a FREE TRIAL music therapy session in new facilities throughout January and February 2019 so you can see what it's all about!

Types of programs we offer include:

- Interactive music concerts - sing along to the classic songs with shakers and instruments for residents provided.

- Dementia based rhythm and music sessions - sessions tailored for interactivity and reminiscence based development for residents within dementia care.

- Piano Supper Club Request Show - residents pick songs for us to perform and play from a list which becomes very interactive and fun

Choir Programs - let your residents enjoy learning songs and performing together each week working towards a concert for friends and family.

Karaoke - bring out your inner Elvis or Doris Day with our fun and interactive karaoke sessions designed and tailored to aged care residents. Pick from a list of over 150 songs.
